Great Bend Noon Lions Club Posted on October 15, 2009 Letter to the editor (Great Bend Tribune, October 15, 2009)Lions Club event funds lots of local helpDear Editor, The Great Bend Noon Lions Club's 25th annual spaghetti feed was a huge success! We appreciate the community support for our dinner and want to thank the local Elks Club, the Great Bend High School Kayettes, and our fellow Lions Club members for their hard work. The proceeds will be utilized to fund our various projects. Eyesight care is the number-one cause that the International Lions Club supports worldwide. Locally, we pay for eye care for local students in USD 428 who are financially challenged. We also donate to Military Moms care packages for our troops, sponsor students to Boy's State and Girl's State, provide local scholarships for high school graduates, replace and care for the red-bud trees on Broadway Street islands, and donate to other worthwhile projects in the community. We look forward to your continued support next year for our 26th annual spaghetti dinner. Kevin Sundahl,
